Nakia Showers
Co- Founder & Lead Stylist
Licensed cosmetologist from Brooklyn, NY specializing in color, weaving and wig making. Graduate of Carsten Aveda Institute, Nakia is a sticular for hair care education. She has over 25 different certificates spanning haircutting and hair coloring. She's a certified makeup artist, licensed through Chic Studios . She also attended Hairline Illusions under the mentorship of Egypt Lawson where she studied wig making, hair ventilation and more. and most recently hair trichology. In 2017, Nakia became a certified Hair Trichologist through United States Trichology Institute.
Nyiesha Showers
Co- Founder & Communications Director
Nyiesha Showers is a recent graduate of the Kathy Hughes School of Communications at Howard University with an 8+ year experience in Media specializing in brand creation, digital journalism, public relations and social media analytics and management. She's interned for a plethora of organizations such as The Source Magazine, Amsterdam, Claire Entertainment (Enstarz.com) and most recently Parle Magazine. She leads the Diamond Dollz Beauty Bar comumnications team.
Lovers of all things BEAUTY, Diamond Dollz provides glam hair and makeup for the annual Miss US Latina Pageant in Mexico. We donate prom essentials and hair services for Kevin Senator Parker's Annual Prom Giveaway in Brooklyn, NY. We also provide free hairstyles on a weekly basis for victims of domestic violence Lastly we work with Volunteers of America for Operation Backpack collecting schools supplies year long for homeless children living in sheltars.
